Ahmed Mihad – Business Consultant & Managing Director

Mr. Mihad, a master’s Graduate from the University of Nottingham UK, embarked on his career at the Ministry of Finance and Treasury as an Account Officer. After his graduation, Mr. Mihad joined as the Lead Specialist Researcher at the Ooredoo Maldives, conducting Market Research for the company while preparing internal Policies for better governance of the company. Mr. Mihad also worked at Maldives National University Business School as a Lecturer.

With Marketing and Governance background and his passion for research, he had helped several companies in the Maldives as a consultant, while also engaging in Risk Management Loss Assessment and Adjustment work for over 5 years.

Ibrahim Thowfeeq – Electronic Engineering Consultant

Mr. Thowfeeq is one of very few Air Traffic Safety Electronic Personnel (ATSEP) at the Velana International airport. Having a Diploma in Communication Maintenance from Thailand, Mr. Thowfeeq joined Maldives Airports Company Ltd (MACL) as a technician in 1996. Over the tenure at MACL Mr. Thowfeeq has gained valuable experience in installation, commissioning, decommissioning and maintenance of various electronic system at the airfield.

Thowfeeq is extremely thorough in any work he does, analyzing each issue to its core. He believes that proper servicing and maintenance to prevent malfunction and error is far better than trouble shooting. Currently Mr. Thowfeeq is leading a team of technicians at Velana International Airport, working round the clock at the biggest and busiest airport in the Maldives.

Mohamed Mafaz – Electronic Engineering Consultant

Mr. Mafaz joined Maldives Airports Company Limited in 1995 as a technician. During his early days, his work entailed servicing equipment assigned by the supervisor. He has completed Diploma in Communication Maintenance from Thailand and with numerous years of experience in the field, Mafaz also holds a BSC Aviation Electronics, from Suranaree University of Technology (Thailand).

Currently Mafaz is the General Manager of Aerodrome and ground aids at MACL, managing operations of both land and water aerodromes at VIA. He is also one of the few ATSEPs in the Country.

Mohamed Shareef – Electronics and Telecommunication Consultant

Mr. Shareef a pioneer in customized fire safety and alarms systems designer in the country,.

Electronics being Shareef’s passion and hobby, he has designed numerous projects which includes customized alarm systems for buildings premises and resorts and Cell set modifications for telecom.

Abdulla Hafeez – Chief Engineer

Mr. Hafeez is both a marine engineer as well as a marine electrical and reefer engineer. His engineering career started after his graduation from the Vocational Training Centre as a junior electrician. His ﬁrst engagement with MIFCO in their ﬁsh transshipment vessels placed him as a marine refrigeration engineer, tasked with overseeing the refrigeration plant on board, and allowed him to gain experience as a marine engineer.

He spent his career as a qualiﬁed electrician on international shipping liners of the Maldives National Shipping Limited. Hafeez holds Certiﬁcate 3 in marine engineering from the Center for Maritime Studies.

Ahmed Zaki – Marine Engineer

Mr. Zaki, now a practicing marine engineer, stepped into the field of marine engineering with his passion for engineering in general. Completed his secondary school in the 1989, joined Tharivilla workshop and a Mechanic trainee. From there he had practical experience in different types of Inboard and Outboard engine, along with generators.

He joined MTCC as a Mechanic and worked his way up to Technical Manager in Engineering and Docking, furthermore he was also the Mechanical maintenance consultant for marine engineering at MTCC until his resignation.

Zaki, had completed numerous training programs, such as Technical Training course on Maintenance and Repair of Diesel Engine For Marine Use and Generators from Yanmar Diesel Engine Co. Ltd, Training on Theoretical & Practical Training of Small and Medium Diesel Engines and Generators for Marine Use from Japan, Training on MAN Diesel engine D25.LE from MAN B&W Diesel (Singapore) Pte. Ltd and many more.

Mohamed Hashim – Civil and Structural Consultant

Mr. Hashim, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and a Bachelor of Engineering in Education Course with specialization in Civil Engineering with practicing license for structural engineering, have had valuable experience in the field of Structural and Civil Engineering.

With his guidance as a lecture at Faculty of Engineering Technology and a Chief Executive Officer of Skills Training Program of the Ministry of Education, numerous young talent have been trained in the Construction Industry. He surved as a CEO of Maldives Polytechnic for over 4 years.

Mr. Hashim is currently working as Consultant/Engineer for construction projects both in Male and Hulhumale.

Ahmed Shamin – Coastal and Onshore Structural Consultant

Mr. Shamin is a Bachelor of English in Civil Engineering and competed his master’s in project management from the UK. Shamin joined Maldives Transport and Contracting Company as a Senior Site Officer in 1994 and over the past 24 years, he had specialized in Costal Shore protection, harbor and jetty projects. During his tenure he had been involved in the of Survey, Design & Reconstruction of Harbors namely, GA. Kolamaafushi and Gdh. Hoadehdhoo. He also worked as an Engineer for Rehabilitation of Cargo Quay wall Area at Velana International Airport.

Currently Shamin is one of the key personal at Heavy Force working as a project manager, taking young talent under his wing, aiding and guiding them for successful delivery of projects.

Ismail Afzal – Civil Engineering Consultant

Mr. Afzal had completed his Bachelor of Civil Engineering and currently working at heavy force as an Engineer supporting the project team with the Survey works Structural layout drawings and detailed drawings of the projects. He also worked as an Engineer for Design and Building of Harbor at Adh. Dhihdhoo, R. Rasgetheemu, Adh. Fenfushi and many more.

Nasrullah Saeed – Cybersecurity & IT Consultant

Mr. Nasrullah holds a bachelor in Computer Science from the University of West England and attended several training programs in the fields of system administration, networking and cybersecurity. With more than 5 years of experience in IT, Nasrullah started work in System Administration early in his career.

His specialty in IT is currently blue team of cybersecurity with a focus on defending and securing the cyber infrastructure, with hands on experience with different operating systems, virtualization environments and firewalls. Nasrullah’s educational background and work environment had gained him invaluable experience in System development Cycle as well.
